Hike to Hawaii Loa Ridge

  • Thursday, October 12, 2017
  • 8:30 AM

This is a beautiful 3.9 mile ridge hike that leads to amazing views of Honolulu and the Windward side of the island. Bonus is that the trailhead is located in a very swanky neighborhood so you can see how the privileged 1% live in Oahu.

This is a difficult hike because of the elevation and exposure as well as steep ascent of stairs at the end. Please bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat.

We will have a carpool to this hike because they only allow 10 cars a day into the neighborhood to do the hike. We will meet at my house (38 Makalapa Dr.) by 8:30 and depart soon after. After the hike, we will stop at Uncle Clays House of Pure Aloha for some all natural shave ice yumminess.
