Aloha kakou!

I am excited for the new PHOSC season and to be Secretary for the 2024-25 club year. Being a part of this club has been such a fabulous way to explore a variety of activities and locations on the island and a great way meet some amazing new friends. 

I was born in Erie, Pennsylvania but have spent most of the last 30 years in San Diego, as well as many other cities during my almost 21 years in the Navy. Eight years ago, I retired from the Navy after spending 7 years as a Corpsman before commissioning and finishing my career doing anesthesia.

My significant other, Ted, is a Surface Warfare Officer. We have 2 dogs, some fish, an adopted community cat and almost as many birds as Sara Harris. I have 2 daughters, Keara (26) lives in Idaho and Kaitlyn (31) lives in Waco, Tx.

Moving on island was a challenge professionally as I have taken a sabbatical from my anesthesia career however, I am thoroughly enjoying my time volunteering for several organizations, exploring this amazing new home and learning the culture. Some of the many activities that keep me busy are outrigger canoe paddling, hula, lei making and outreach with the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles.

I look forward to getting to know you all this year and cannot wait to see what activities everyone plans this year.
